Frome Area Movement and Place Plan

Frome Town Council is developing a plan in partnership with Somerset Council and parish councils within the Vale of Frome LCN to put together a plan relating to travel and transport in the area. The project is now live on FTC's citizen engagement platform: MyFrome. 

The results of this engagement process (lasting until around November-December 2026) will be shared with our specialist transport consultant, PJA, who will use the data collected in preparing the draft Movement and Place Plan.

Once completed and adopted, the plan will be a key document outlining the key issues and priorities relating to travel and transport, infrastructure and public services in Frome and the surrounding parishes. It will be used to influence planning and decision-making at Somerset Council, and to access funds to carry out the work needed. As our towns and villages develop and grow, having a clear strategy will be essential to ensure everyone can access jobs, schools, healthcare, shops and other services; while creating streets and public spaces that are safe and enjoyable places to live and move through.
